Hello folks!
I've got a strange problem with my download-script in conjunction with
M$ internet explorer, if the filename I want to link to includes more
than one points. In Netscape the problem doesn't exist.
For example:
input: ... download.php?name=virtualdub_1.4.9.zip

I'm a newbie to Apache. This week I installed my first Apache 2.0 server,
and it's working fine. I then installed PHP. When I ran the PHP test file
("test.php"), the actual text contents of the file came up in the
browser:
----------------
<?php
phpinfo();
?>

I'm sorry but I can't figure out how to explain this any better than
this.
In PHP we have a command "require()" that obtains a file and logically
places it into another file.
I cannot figure out how to do this in bash script as the requirement
is necessary for a migration script to obtain the code from a .cfg
file and then be able for the "parent" script to run the code it
"imported" from the .cfg file, much like PHP's require() or...

Hi,
"Snif" is an excellent little script to index files and directories.
It's just one single file, and the advantage is that you merely drop it
into the directory you want to index, point a browser to the script and
you're done.
But to me, the simplicity is a DISadvantage since I need to index
directories that are located down in the site hierarcy, and to which the
users won't have direct access.

if you are just a users among the 100s of users on a hosting machines,
then if you do a include("/main.php"); it won't include the file
but will say
Failed opening required '/main.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/nf/
lib/php')
it seems ok to include("../main.php"); except the file will not work
if moved from www.abc.com/movies to a new location of

Hello:
Our HR dept wants to allow users to download various HR forms from our
comp intranet. But since there are over 20 forms, I need to allow
users to select the files they want and then download the selected
files using a single click to "Download All" button. How can I do
this? Is there some canned script that would do this? Is this even
possible with a client side script?
Thanks.

Hi there! I'm using the Apache .htaccess directive for a PHP
autoappend, eg:
php_value auto_append_file /usr/www/users/myusername/includes/
footer.html
Works great. However, I'm trying to generate RSS, and the included
footer is blowing the strict XML syntax of course. Is there a way I
can tell it not to append the footer.html if the requested file is

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
