PHP is serverside pre-processor software and exists (for all intent and purposes) only on the webserver, not the users machine. The code that the browser sees contains no PHP code and thus PHP cannot be used to create functionality in the browser.

What you're looking for is a combination of DHTML / JavaScript or perhaps an Adobe Flash / Java Applet.

Let us know if any questions,

I have an ASP scheduling application in which there are blocks of time, represented with a table, within another table which is the timeline. In other words, I have a table with a vertical timeline. Each row represents a 1/2 hour of time starting at 12 AM. The scheduled job is represented by another smaller table inside the timeline table which spans vertically the time alloted for the job. Say if the job was scheduled for 2 hours, the...

Hi All, I am writting a java script library which will provide inter frame drag and drop operation. The more precise will be OLE drag and drop, which means only data will be transfered from frame to frame not any object. But it should happen in a drag and drop fashion. The requirement is, user will click on one object and will drag the mouse to another frame and will drop on some object the data will be passed by this and some action will...

I am trying to implement the user feedback provided by Windows Explorer when draggng a filename from one place to another. I have the drag and drop action worked out but have had no luck in finding how to capture the piece of the screen into a bitmap to simulate the movement. I know this could be done with the Windows API but can't find any way to do it with .Net functions. Any help is appreciated.

I need to add the ability to drag from a Windows Form and drop into a non dotNet application. For example, having a generated image in my app that I wish to drag out into explorer as a friendly way to save it. I have tried creating the object that I place into the DoDragDrop() by inheriting the COM interfaces IDropSource and IDataObject with no luck. If anyone can help I am very much open to suggestions. Thanks in advance!

There seems to be two ways to put things on the clipboard ( I don't mean different formats): SetClipboardData and OleSetClipboard If I want to get data off the clipboard do I care how it was put there? What about Drag/Drop; is there more than one way for the source to make data available Is it always OLE?

If a row of data in a dataset has a lot of columns the row displaying the data in a datagrid will run way off the screen. What I'd like to do is display a row of data over several datagrid rows so the user doesn't have to scroll horizontally. Essentially, I want to wrap a datagrid row (not text in individual columns) with as much control as possible. Make sense? While this seems simple enough on the surface, I can't figure out how to do...

I'm trying to create a file using drag and drop. I want to be able to select a listview item drag it to the shell and create a file. Each icon in the listview represents a blob in a database. When I drop onto the shell I want a file created with a specified name containing the data from the database. I've looked at the FileDrop format but it look to have only the filename and not the data. TIA

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
