Hi:
I'm working on an e-commerce site. Using the SMTP class, my site sends out
confirmation messages. It works most of the time, but sometimes raises an
error. I need a way of making sure it goes out every time. I thought about
wrapping a try-catch handler in loop that keeps on retrying if delivery
fails. Is this a good idea? If not, what is the best way of handling this
kind of thing?
Thanks,

I am tired of sending mail from the built-in SMTP service for so many
reasons (errors are nondescriptive in the event log, it doesn't let me
control which IP address it sends from, and it identifies itself as the
computer name which is not in domain.com format, triggering spam filter
problems).
Instead, I want to have my code send through an SMTP server of a company
that we pay for mail service. But they require a username and password....

Hello,
I search a way to realize following:
When a user connects to a databse, a function of my should be executed. The
best would be a system table where the active Databaser Users are in, and
creating a Trigger on it. But there is not such a table.
Sometold me to modifying the source, but i feel a bit lost in such a big
source. Please help me :)
The best would be a modification which stores active Users in table. I think

the server's event log.
Here's some details:
Server and workstation both in the same workgroup
Logged into server as local Administrator
Logged into workstation as a local user that is only in the Users group on

Hi All
I've got a real puzzler that I just can't seem to get my head around. Basically I'm writing a server-client using a third party dll to access their database. The third party library requires a login using a static method before any of the other methods can be used:
tpdll.Login(Username, Password); *
* The username and password will always be the same in my app
When a client connects to my server app it fires a new thread and...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
