Hello everyone.
I'm not a JavaScript author myself, but I'm looking for a method to
remove duplicate words from a piece of text. This text would
presumably be pasted into a text box.
I have, for example, a list of town names, but there are hundreds of
duplicates, like:
"Aberdeen Aberdeen Aberdeen Edinburg Edinburg Inverness etc."

If you've used the Google Gmail spell checker you know that it
'changes' the text area to another type of control that lets them show
hyperlinks for the incorrect words. How does Google change the
textarea? And what do they change it to? I know it should be pretty
simple, I just have no clue because I'm fairly new to DHTML. Any
examples would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Cliff.

I have a temp table that has data I am inserting into a SQL DB table.
There is a column in both tables called PAT_ID. I need to check the SQL
table against the temp table for duplicate data in both columns of both
tables.
In other words if one row in the temp table PAT_ID has a value of 472440 and
the SQL DB table also has a row with PAT_ID = 472440 then I want to delete
the temp table row.

Hello,
I'd like to put, on a web page, a "place" where the user can type a
rather long text, with automatic coloring of each word (e.g. a color
depending on the number of letters of the word).
The only solution I could think of is rather ugly: a <textareafor
the user to type in, and behind the <textarea>, one <spanfor each
word, with the same text and font, and a colored background.
I've put it there:...

I have affiliates submitting batches of anywhere from 10 to several
hundred orders. Each order in the batch must include an order ID,
originated by the affiliate, which must be unique across all orders in
all batches ever submitted by that affiliate. I'm trying to figure out
the most efficient way to check the uniqueness of the order ID.
Order data is being submitted to Zen Cart, and also stored in custom
tables. I have created a unique...

I read this thread and realized that it was exactly what I was looking for. The problem is I need it to be done with sentences not words. I have a problems with typing the same thought down twice in a large text column of thoughts and ideas. This piece of software that I found on thread thread89492 works really well for words, but not for sentences. I have not been able to figure out how to get it to work.
here goes the original...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
