I have the following function which does not strip everything i need.

function StripAll($value ) {
$value = preg_replace('/[\r\n\t]+/', '', $value);
$value = preg_replace("/[rn]+[st]*[rn]+/","n",$valu e);
$value = stripslashes($v alue);
$value = mysql_real_esca pe_string($valu e);
$value = trim($value);
$value = strip_tags($val ue);
$value = str_replace("," , "", $value);
$value = str_replace("." , "", $value);
$value = str_replace("'" , "", $value);
$value = str_replace(";" , "", $value);
$value = str_replace("&" , " ", $value);
$value = str_replace("(" , "", $value);
$value = str_replace(")" , "", $value);
return $value;
}
[/PHP]
This still leaves in rn , full stops and brackets any ideas what is wrong with the function?

No idea, but replace lines 9-xx with this one[php]$value = str_replace(arr ay(",", ".", ";","&", "(", ")", "\r", "\n", "[", "]"), "", $value);[/php]Ronald

Hey everybody!
I have a problem stripping a variable number of <br> and \n
in the beginning of a string. The stripping should only be done
BEFORE and real text comes. So
"<br><br>\n Hello <br> this is a <br> string."
should become
" Hello <br> this is a <br> string."

I have a string variable that holds the equivalent of a DateTime value. I
pulled this datetime from the database and I want to strip off the time
portion before displaying to the user.
I am using C#
eg.
- String variable "strMyDate" holds the value "1/1/2005 12:00:00 AM" from
the database.
- I do not care about the time portion, I only want "1/1/2005" for display.

I want to strip the accents off characters in a string so that, for example,
the (Spanish) word "práctico" comes out as "practico" - but ignoring case,

Is there any benefit to stripping all the space from the page before
rendering by overriding the page render and using the htmltextwriter and
stringbuilder to strip linefeeds, tabs and extra space etc. I have noticed
that may site's source code is like this. Is this because it is better for
the browser or harder for someone to be able to read it. Or maybe there is a
method or command to do this automatically?

I'm using versions 2.5.2 and 2.5.1 of python and have encountered a
potential bug. Not sure if I'm misunderstanding the usage of the strip
