Hi
Obviously I'm new to PHP. I would like to be able to update a table in a
page from a database on the server without reloading the page each time. Is
this possible with PHP?
TIA

I am constructing a company intranet.
On the intranet I made an overview-page which displays the availability of
equipment.
The information comes out of a database, and is retrieved by php-script.
The users of the database should be able to change the status of the
equipment.
On the overview-page, I placed a button next to each piece of equipment.
On pressing the button, a new window is opened, in which the user can input
the changes....

Is there a way of reloading a page programatically - for example,
<script language="javascript>
document.location.reload()
</script>
BUT NOT HAVING TO MANUALLY CLICK A "RESET" BUTTOM.

I am trying to display some rss feeds in my homepage. To do that I am
using an external script which returns smth like:
document.writeln("<div ...>")
document.writeln("Title of News 1") !! read from the feed
.....
document.writeln("</div>")
So displaying just one feed is a matter of adding the line:
<script language=Javascript src="http....?rssfeed=somefeed.xml">
</script>

I can't make this script work properly. I've gone as far as I can with
it and the rest is out of my ability. I can do some html editing but
I'm lost in the Java world. The script at the bottom of the html page
controls the form fields that are required. It doesn't function like
it's supposed to and I can leave all the fields blank and it still
submits the form. Also I can't get it to transfer the file in the
upload section. The file name...

Hi, I could be approaching this all wrong...so please let me know what
you think.
I have a 2 page frame (WIleft.aspx and WIright.aspx) in asp.net 2.0. I
create an html page by transforming xml with xsl file into WIright and
there are buttons created with dynamic parameters to pass when the
function is run.
I have the following script that runs when any given button is clicked
in WIright:

Appologies for unclear title. I don't really understand the problem I'm facing.
My system: PHP 5.2.1, Win2K, Apache 2, MySQL 5 (local - problem is same on my live site running php 4.3.9, Linux, Apache 2). Various browsers.
No errors are reported (set to ALL and STRICT) with my problem.
To describe the problem a little more:
The symptoms - very slow page load. I can see the page reloading simply by observing the 'progress' bar in...

Hi
I just came a problem with JS on a site - I updated my .js file for
the site, it is included as follows:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="whatever.css" type="text/css">
<script type="text/javascript" src="whatever.js"></script>
Problem: IE does not automatically reload the .js file (nor .css) but
uses a cached version - which caused the site to fail this morning.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
