dear all,
i've created an application for a customer where the customer can upload
..csv-files into a specified ftp-directory. on the server, a php-script,
triggered by a cronjob, reads all the data, imports it into a mySQL database
and deletes the .csv-file after the import.
so far, so good.
but in some cases the cronjobs starts running when the file is not completely

In a monitoring app I have written, the message summary screen
refreshes itself automatically every couple of minutes via the
line <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="180">.
The screen mostly comprises a table of single-line messages,
and next to each a small status image (red for error, yellow

I have a ASP.NET form with Web layout which I've achieved using panels. In
one of the tab I have a File control to upload Images. When I put a file in
the file control and move to another tab, I am loosing the file in the file
control. So, I am putting the file in a Session:
Session("PhotoFile") = filePhoto.PostedFile

I am writing a PHP script which generates some charts using gnuplot.
This generates quite a large number of temporary image files. My
problem is that I do not know how to delete these images after they
have been loaded and are already displayed at the website.
Everything I have tried so far resulted in that the images were not
