Please can someone put me out my misery!
Im trying to find a multiple user/password protection script that will
redirect the specific user to a specific directory.
At the moment I have set up htaccess which is fine but can only
protect one directory unless I put htaccess on each directory which I
think is a bit long winded, but is there any other way I can do this
with using only one password script?
Any info would be greatly...

Hi,
I have the wsdl below, for an Axis web service, and when I select Add Web
Refernce in Visual Studio the proxy is missing a class representing the
returnedElementsType (see reference.cs below the wsdl). This complex type is
a collection of another complex type(elementType), and the Reference.cs has
an array of these rather than the single returnedElementsType. If If I want
to be able to obtain these elements from the SOAP response I...

Hi there,
I would be very greatful if somebody could help me with my trouble
using VBA to code a button on a form. Basically what i want to happen
is on the click of the button i want it to validate the data entered
into the username and password fields stored in a table. This is not
the problem, the problem is getting it to open a different form for a
manager or for a member of staff dependant on the access level stored
in the same table...

Hi everyone
I wondered what if any methods people here use to speed up their PHP
code (ie. speed at which you produce your code).
Things like 'code templates', 'base objects' for this and that?
I thought it would be interesting to find out if I'm missing out any
anything cool that could aid in speeding up development.

I've seen a lot of questions about how to make secure database passwords. I'm going to go over a method of encrypting a password using the MD5 encryption algorithm for maximum security.
First, you will need to download the attached class module (clsMD5.txt) and import it into your database. This class module is the core of what we're about to go over. Thanks to Robert Hubley for writing it - you're my hero!
Next, your database needs a...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
