Good online html editor

2 New Member
Hi - I'm looking for a simple editor which can edit static text files online (php based). I'm doing a site for a client and they'd like to be able to edit the text in some of the pages. Rather than either going down the adobe contribute route or stretching to a full db based solution with admin area I thought it'd be easier to come up with a static site and <? include content from another folder where it was needed. I'd allow the users access to that folder so they'd only be editing the text rather than messing up the frame and layout.

I've already seen htmlEditbox but does anyone know of an open source system?

Thanks,

Richard Pain

Hi all, For a new project i'm looking for a java (or javascript) html-editor which can be used within an online cms. This editor should have the possibility to create client-side imagemaps. So far i have not found what i'm looking for. This new project is an cms system where technical-documentation, mainly drawings/schemes can be uploaded. Also manuals can be created online(html-pages). These manuals contain

Is there a good editor that can be used with a 32 bit compiler under the MS-Dos platform? I used to use the Watcom C++ 11 compiler but the editor that came with it (VI if I remeber) was not that great, in fact it was horrible. I'm searching for a Borland C++ style editor and a good C++ 32 bit compiler. Doesn't really matter if the compiler doesn't optimize the code. Thanx in advance... Lovens

I'm looking for a good (non-wysiwyg) editor for HTML and CSS. I want something that will help me produce non-dynamic pages with a minimum of excrescences (no, javascript, flash, etc.) in supportable style. I am using CSS as much as possible to organize these pages, but since I'm still fairly new at CSS I'd like a good set of help features as well. Freeware would be nice, but functionality is more important.

I have still yet to see a JavaScript Editor that comes close to reading a good JS book, learing it and using it with a text editor. Anyway, here my recipe for build successfull DHTML Applications: If you want to support only M$ IE stop here and do the following: 1) Install blindfold 2) Repeat the phrase - I love my cage :p Buy the Book: Buy O'Reilly's JavaScript The Definitive Guide

Hi all, Does anybody know, if there is somewhere an editor with highlighter functions to implement in an existing cms with mysql backend? It should be easy to use/install :) Has anyone an idea? I need it because, we are working on that cms, and it would be easier to edit it online. So nobody needs to configure ftp clients, ... Thx :)

Okay, I guess the answer is "yes". But where can I find it? I was thinking of something like php.net, just for c++. Preferably some documentation that refers to the same standards that the gnu c++ compiler does (I'm using g++ V3.3.5 under Suse Linux 9.3). In this specific case I wanna know the easiest way how to convert an integer into a string variable (I mean which library / function to use). I'm not a programming newbie by any means,...

I know there's a request for a good IDE at least once a week on the ng, but hopefully this question is a little different. I'm looking for suggestions for a good cross-platform text editor (which the features for coding, such as syntax highlighting, etc.) but not a full IDE with all the fancy jazz (GUI developer, UML diagrams, etc.). Ideally, it would be something I could even put on a flash drive and move from computer to computer, but...

Hello! Does any one of you know about some kind of PHP IDE (or at least an editor with syntax highlighting) that works online? It would be absolutely great if there was something like Google Docs, but for programmers with at least some features normal IDEs provide (support for JS and HTML would be great too). Reason for such need (at least in my case) is I change computers often. I have all my stuff on USB stick, but each time I go...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
