I have an ASP page that is sent a file location as a parameter. It opens
this file, loads the ADODB.Stream object and does a binary write to the page
forcing the download dialog to appear. This all works fine. If the user
selects "Open" or "Cancel", the window closes, which is the desired behavior.
If they select "Save", the location dialog shows up, they save the file and

hi,
i placed System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser in my
WinForm. When i tried loading word document, it opens
the File Download window. My question is how can i avoid
the File Download window from showing? My intented
default action is to always open Open file, just like if
i load image, text file or xml file where it does not
show the File Download dialog. I dont want to override
user preference to always show File Download window.

I've been trying to build a Ruby-on-Rails plus MySQL application. I'm
running Ruby 1.8.2, Rails 1.1.4 and MySQL 5.0.15-nt over
WinXP-Pro/SP2. I run under an Administrative account.
