So, I'm compiling XML strings within a function, when passed the type
of XML file to create. My question is, how do i query the status of
that function so that I can show a "XML File Loading, Please Wait."
notice on my web site while the XML file is being created.
Any help is appreciated! 1 1301

Use a session variable in which you store the current operation or
progress.On client either use ajax or frame to read that session
variable after specific interval. This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Hello,
Can anyone assist me with what I am trying to do with the following
code (six different scenarios to try to make the functionality work
correctly)?
I want to always (and ONLY) display in the status bar 'Symantec
Corporation' whenever anyone mouses over (onMouseOver) my image or
link OR when one clicks while holding the left mouse down (onClick) on
the same image or link. Upon releasing the mouse (onMouseOut), the

I am having a most frustrating problem that references, web searches,
and other resources are no help so far in solving. Basically, I'm trying
to design a pop-up window to be called with a funciton in a link. that
function can have parameters for URL and window name passed to it.
This works peachy in Firefox (1.0). With IE 6 (6.0.29) on two separate
computers, I get an "onject expected" error. Going to the MS-based
debugger just tells me...

Hi All,
I was taught that argument valuse is not supposed to be changed in
function body. Say, below code is not good.
void foo1(int x)
{
x ++;
printf("x+1 = %d\n", x);
}
It should be "refactor-ed" to be

Hi everyone,
I have written a function that runs functions in separate processes. I
hope you can help me improving it, and I would like to submit it to
the Python cookbook if its quality is good enough.
I was writing a numerical program (using numpy) which uses huge
amounts of memory, the memory increasing with time. The program
structure was essentially:

Hey folks, I'm looking at making the following query more efficient
potentially using the ranking functions and I'd like some advice from
the gurus. The purpose of the following is to have a status for a
person, and also have a historical background as to what they've done,
status wise. This was the best way I could come up with to do this a
few years back, but I'm wondering if there's a better way with Sql
2005.
Here's a toned down...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
