Submit problem on second form in a file

8 New Member
Hello,

I am new to PHP and have created a file that will show a HTML page to ank for a record key, then select the kay from a MS Access database and display it on another form in the same PHP file. This all works great the second form is presented with the information.

The problem that I have is the second form is supposed to allow a user time to modify information and click a submit button, then I take the information and update the database record. What is happening is the information presents and the code blows right through to the next step.

I have checked the HTML code for a error, also
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. unset($_SESSION['formSubmitted']);
and
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. unset($_POST['submit']);
I am not sure where to go from here, can someone offer any advice?

Thank You

Hi.

I'm not entirely sure how your code could be skipping a form submission. (Unless I'm misunderstandin g the problem?)

Could you show us the code that prints the information into the forum, where you expect your user the edit and submit it?
And perhaps the code that processes the data from that submission?

I'm trying to write a program in vb.net to automate filling out a series of forms on a website. There are three forms I need to fill out in sequence. The first one is urlencoded. My program is able to fill that one out just fine. The second form is multipart/form-data. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to fill that out in a way that makes the server happy. I set up a copy of this form at my web site so that I could see exactly what a...

Just a question using images as submit buttons and PHP4.4.4. It seems that my code correctly works in FireFox but not in IExplorer. For example, I have a FORM with 2 buttons called "search" and "save". In a second file, the one mentioned in the "action" parameter, I test which button has been clicked in order to decide which action to take. IExplorer doesn't get anything, FireFox correctly works.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
