Hi group.
I need to post text to a PHP page for introducing that text to a database.
Is there any function that convert my text into HTML before introduce it in
the database?
I need this for introducing comments directly from <TEXTAREA> HTML' objects
to a database, and get it formated when I show it latter in normal HTML
files.
For example, if I press ENTER key then I need to represent this new line
when some one see the comments latter, other way if I introduce it without
the concerns I'm exposing here, the text will be one just paragraph without
line breaks.
I've read a solution for this a few months ago, but I can't remember
where...
Any help hould be greattly appreciated.
Best regards,
Nuno Paquete 1 1436

from Nuno Paquete contained the following: For example, if I press ENTER key then I need to represent this new line when some one see the comments latter, other way if I introduce it without the concerns I'm exposing here, the text will be one just paragraph without line breaks.

Playing with Prothon today, I am fascinated by the idea of eliminating
classes in Python. I'm trying to figure out what fundamental benefit
there is to having classes. Is all this complexity unecessary?
Here is an example of a Python class with all three types of methods
(instance, static, and class methods).

Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to change the default font-family and
font-size. I tried adding this to the BODY section, but it didn't work. I
tried to the P section, but they are not enclosed in <P> tags. They are just
basic fonts.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

I'm creating a common navigation bar of text "buttons" using CSS. On each
page, I want the corresponding button to be "inert" (no hover, etc) as a
visual clue to where you are.
I thought I'd include simple <p> tags, and style them the same way as the
<a> tags, but I can't get it to work - I get different margins in each case.
I've reduced the situation to the essentials here:

Hi,
I have a problem posting non-ASCII characters in FORM fields between classic
ASP and ASP.NET. I use a fully patched Windows 2000 Advanced Server with .net
2.0 and visual Studio 2005 installed, IIS, IE6 etc ...
When an *.ASPX page receives the post, it drops non-ASCII characters, for
example it drops character é from word Montréal. Specifying explicit encoding
on ASP/ASPX page doesn't help. The encoding works without doing anything...

This subject has come up several times in this group over the last
year. Several people in this group seem to feel strongly about this
topic. Rather than derail other threads with this discussion, I
figured we could talk about it here.
Since I'm leading off here, I'll state my opinion on the matter.
I really don't care one way or the other. I use Google, and for all
its faults, does do one thing right: it hides quoted text. So, I just...

Hi All,
I need to let user type some text in a textbox, and user will click a
button to submit the material.
It is very straightforward if we implement it by single thread.
But the submitting costs a lot of time, especially there are some
network latency.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
