How can I update my multiple rows? Send over name, link to another page

26 New Member
Hello lads! And ladderettes of course :-)

I have a serious issue: I have a table. It consists of:

ID Name Link ContentID

ID is primary key, and ContentID is the foreign Key.

What my script does is listing up name, link from the table. They all have the same contentid so I list them up to the right content.

all name/links is owned by a content.

The problem is I want to update name, link by using the update button which is situated next all rows in the table.

my update_doc.php page catches the ID, so I get the right one when I press the update link (to my update_confirme d.php page).

But the problem is I don't get the rest of the data, only the ID. How can I easy catch the rest of the data from update.doc.php to update_confirme d.php ?

the way I catch the ID data is by the link;
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <a href="update_doc_confirmed.php?recordID=<?php echo $row_Recordset1['id']; ?>">update</a>
But how Can I catch the rest (name, link) from update_doc.php to update_doc_conf irmed without showing it in the address bar?

It's a link, not a submit button if that helps?

Hope it's easy, hope you can help me guys.

I was thinking about having only one update button on the page (it lists up all). Is that hard to accomplish?

You could pass the recordset as a HTML array variable in the link.
I think you define it as an array being passed by placing [] after the URL variable name

Visually, the page will look somewhat like a spreadsheet. It could have hundreds of records (rows) displayed. I want to enable the user to edit any one or any number of records and any fields, then click a save button to UPDATE the SQL table. I'd like to use stored procedures if possible. How is this done? Where do I start? thanks

So here's my problem.....I need to set up different email distributions based on which option in the following Select form has been chosen....For instance if "Putaway" is chosen it needs to email User1@here.whatever and User4@here.whatever but if "Loaded" is chosen it needs to email User2@here.whatever and User3@here.whatever, etc, etc... I'm aware that the only thing that really needs to change is the "Mail.AddAddress" line (at least...

Hello, I have a multithreaded windows NT service application (vb.net 2003) that I am working on (my first one), which reads a message queue and creates multiple threads to perform the processing for long running reports. When the processing is complete it uses crystal reports to load a template file, populate it, and then export it to a PDF. It works fine so far....

Hi I was using a schroll bar to display multiple rows of dynamically created from database records. The scrolling was not displaying the data properly so I have decided to use pagination. The problem I am having is, if I select one item on page #1 and another on page #5 only the last item selected on page #5 is stored in the array. How can I store selections from multiple pages into one array?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
