Thanks

Why would you do that? Why not use a query string or mod_rewrite that creates a query string?

Hi - I am trying to figure out a way to enforce the validation included for this form based on whether the user chooses "email" or "phone" as the contact choice. Right now it is set to enforce validation on both. Is there a way to link the drop-down choice to the correspondent validation section while disabling validation for the other...

I have a web site that, due to maintenance by several people, some of whom are fairly clueless about HTML and CSS, etc. (notably me), has gotten to the point where I'm pretty sure it's suffering from bit rot. Though the pages seem to display okay under IE and FF, I really think it's time for an under-the-hood cleaning. I recently received a...

I have a form on a webpage and want to use JavaScript validation for the form fields. I have searched the web for form validation scripts and have come up with scripts that only validate individual fields, such as an "Email Validation Script" or a "Phone Validation Script". Is it ok to put all these scripts on page as they are or should they...

I have a table which is bound to an Internet Explorer XML data island. I'm using ASP.NET's client-side validators for an input field in the table. The problem is that if the input fields are in a table that is bound to the island (such that the rows are dynamically generated by IE from the XML data island), the validators do not work. If...

I have some <RequiredFieldValidator> on my page and everything works fine except that there are lots of white spaces between the web server controls that are being validated. I've set the Display properties for all the controls to "Dynamic" and still I can't get rid of the white spaces between controls. It's as if there are bunch of <br>...

I have a page with several dropdownlists, several text boxes and several buttons which perform calculations. I need to validate one dropdownlist (not the whole page) with the click of one button. I have a separate submit button which should validate the other fields. This page on MSDN does what I want - almost! ...

Recently, I was trying to modify an existing aspx page when client-side validation on that page stopped working. I searched this group and the web in general and found that other people have had the same issue. However, none of the suggested fixes solved my particular problem. I tracked down the cause of the problem, which is related to aspx...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
