Changed thread title to better describe the problem (did you know that threads whose titles contain phrases such as, 'help! error!' actually get FEWER responses?).

Heya, chaos.

"Object Expected" is IE's way of saying, "Something went wrong, but I can't be bothered to give you any more information than that."

Let's have a look at your JavaScript, around line 740 (please don't post all 740 lines!).

All the object does is return a string value. At this point I have not checked the option to register for COM interop in Visual Studio So I go into Excel (where I want to use the object). Go to VB...

Howdy! I posted this question on CSharpCorner.com, but then realized I should probably post it on a more active newsgroup. This will be my only cross-post. I'm creating a game engine, and using CodeDOM for my scripting needs (I realize I could use yacc or something else, but I wanted to try using CodeDOM -- this is more of an exercise for me to learn this stuff). Well, I compile my in-game scripts just fine. See appendix A for my code

I am using VB.NET 2003 and SQL Server 2000. My program inserts new rows in a SQL table based on data read from a file. I generated the commands and the stored procedures with the DataAdapter wizard. The execution of the Insert Command throws the exception: "Object must implement IConvertible. " 1. What object does it refer to? The Command itself? 2. On the other hand, in the VS Help file all IConvertible members have this warning:...

I get the above error in some of the ASP.NET web applications on a server, and I need some help figuring out how to deal with it. This is a rather long post, and I hope I have enough details that someone who bothers to read all of it have some pointers. Note, I have posted the stack trace and the code exhibiting the problem further down so if you want to start by reading that, search for +++ Also note that I am unable to reproduce...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
