Changed thread title to better describe the problem (did you know that threads whose names contain words like 'help' actually get FEWER responses?).

Heya, lezah.

You will want to check all the file paths you specified in your code, as *n?x and Windows do things very differently in those departments. For example, if this works on the Windows side:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. fopen('C:\\Documents and Settings\\someuser\\somefile.ext', 'rb');
You'll need to change it to something like this:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. fopen('/home/someuser/somefile.ext', 'r');
  2.
It all depends on how your server is set up, but if you run into any problems, post back and we'll help you out.

I used to be able to run the following ASP code on our corp machine (W2K Server Edition and IIS-5) and successfully send a net-msg to anyone on our intranet. Last week it stopped working... and I'm not sure what changed. (I had applied ALL the W2K update patches... but... I'm not sure if the problem started before or after that.) Did any recent W2K patches change the way createObject, wScript.shell, or "NET SEND" works?

I am not able to get MYSQL running on Suse Linux Enterprise Server. I tried stopping with the command mysqld and it reported, "Shtudown Complete." Then when I tried to restart it with the command, "mysqld –user=root" I get the response "mysql.host" doesn't exist. If I try "mysqld – user=mysql", I get numerous errors. I installed Suse Linux Enterprise Server 8 from CDROM and included all options. I saw the MYSQL is part of the...

"Visual Studio .NET has detected that the specified Web server is not running ASP.NET version 1.1. You will be unable to run ASP.NET Web applications or services." This is the message I get each time that I want to create an ASP.NET application. The help recommends to register ASP.NET by using the command line and "aspnet_regiis /i" . I do this and there is no error during registration. But again when I try to create an ASP.NET...

Hello I recently used VS.NET 2003's Copy Project to create a "release' version of my asp.net app. On the same machine where the development has occured, I loaded the app and all worked fine. I then copied all the files to our production server and began testing the application there. So far, I have noticed that my validators do not work on the production machine but they do on the development machine. Any suggestions as to why?...

I had WAMP Server installed for a few months, everything was fine. Now all of a sudden it stopped working. It still executes the PHP but it doesn't allow me to write to a .txt file anymore. When I put the same files on the web it works great. And it worked with wamp server before yesterday. So I uninstalled WAMP server and installed WAMP Server2 and it still has the same issues.

Hi, Having a little issue with .htaccess not working on windows server. I have clean url's setup using the htaccess file, working fine on linux server. I have researched for a while and found .htaccess doesn't work on windows. Since this is a shared hosting i don't have access to httpd.conf so that i can edit it. I have been reading this forum about it. http://forum.mambo-foundation.org/showthread.php?t=1857

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
