How to send cookie value back to server

1 New Member
Hi

I'm gathering information from web page, first I get headers and store recieved cookies then I get source with file()-function.

Is there easy way to send cookie value back to host on each page, so my script would be recognized as web browser and sessid wouldn't change on every page ?

Are you calling session_start() at the beginning of each script?

There is the setcookie() function. But if it is just the session, you can always use session_id();

I am reading and setting a cookie using JavaScript in the BODY onload and onunload events respectively. This works fine. However when I use ASP to set the cookie under some condition where I want to override the last value set in the onunload event, it has no effect. The next onload still has the old value. Any ideas? The following code...

Hello, I have a pop-up window that I would like to appear in front of the browser home page when a user opens IE. Problem is, I'd like it to never appear again if the user navigates back to the home page during their time using the browser. However, if the user closes the browser, then reopens, the pop-up should appear again. (you may...

Hello, I'm having trouble getting MSIE 6.0 (running on XP SP2) to accept a cookie which works fine in both Firefox and wget. The web server is Boa 0.94.13 (a small embedded server) using PHP 4.3.10 for CGI. Even with the lowest security settings in MSIE there is no cookie acceptance, and no "Cookie:" HTTP header is being sent back by...

I've created a quick set of test scripts, and I'm finding that cookies don't work as I would expect(i.e. the same as they do in original ASP. In original ASP I could set a cookie on one page, set another value to that cookie on a second page, then read them both back on a third page, but in .NET the second page overwrites the first. here...

I did try to find the answer to this before posting, so this isn't a knee jerk reaction. What I am trying to accomplish is to have a script that opens a cookie, reads a value, and then use a switch/case to take action based on that value in the cookie. I want to set the cookie manually, so I don't need setcookie(). I see that in PHP it...

We use a Soap Header to pass a token class (m_Token) back and forth with authenticated session information. Given the following implementation for our Logout method, I vastly prefer to simply code m_Token = null in order to destroy the session token when the user logs out. However, I'm finding that setting class instance to null results in no...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
