Uh... did you try contacting vclcomponents.c om and asking them? It's
their site, after all.

Or perhaps wiley.com, who took over publication from MTBooks?

Of course, it's also very possible to cdrom contents aren't available on
the web.

Start by asking which queries you will be performing, then define all data needed for each of those queries, then progress to normalize this data, etc. Any Ideas....thanks...

Several weeks ago, there were some threads here about a MySQL reference book that was very valuable to many users of this group. It was a very thick and well-written book that was compiled by a frequent visitor here. I cannot find the title, and I was also wondering if the book would assist someone is using MySql as a database for a shopping-type Web site. Any info appreciated.

Did you ever stop to wonder if Alan Greenspan is a Microsoft Stooge. Stifles competition by hurting the IPO market and technology market to prevent new companies from taking on Microsoft?

What I am trying to do is to take the contents of a very large text file and place it into a LONGTEXT field in a database. I am looking for a solution using the C API to help me handle this. The code I use right now is very ineffecient. I basically use a VERY large character array that is like 600,000 characters long and store an UPDATE query to the database in this. I place the contents of the file being uploaded into this query where...

Hello everyone, This is my first attempt at getting help in this manner. Please forgive me if this is an inappropriate request. I suddenly find myself in urgent need of instruction on how to communicate with a MySQL database table on a web server, from inside of my company's Access-VBA application. I know VBA pretty well but have never before needed to do this HTTP/XML/MySQL type functions.

Hi! I'm a librarian with a little PHP knowledge.. I'm trying to make a catalog from scratch for my library. I don't like the look of the current catalog so I'm trying to make a custom PHP/MySQL implementation. I can do everything I need to do except, I don't completely understand a detail. Ideally I could write this: <a href="catalogrecord.php?recordnum=4">Tom Sawyer</a>

Hi One of the ways to raise performance for PHP apps is to separate static contents from dynamic contents, so that the former can be compiled once into cache. Can someone give me a simple example of how this kind of thing is done when making calls to MySQL? Thank you.

I'll leave out the annoying 'i'm a newbie' speech and get to the point: i'm a newbie at perl ;) First thing i ever wrote in perl and it doesnt work. I'm using xampp as my localhost - with perl installed on that. When i run this (http://localhost/mysql.pl) it just prints out the contents of the file and not an array if the databases... Enlighten me, oh gods of perl #!"C:\xampp\perl\bin\perl.exe"

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
