I am writing a windows service that will recieve
notification when a USB Device is insterted into the
machine. I have used the RegisterDeviceNotification and
the RegisterServiceCtrlHandlerEx with a handler. The
handler portion seems to fail indicating that my
parameters are invalid. I am getting an error code 126
when i try to register the handler and 28 when i register
for event notification. Any ideas as to what the deal is?

Hi,
I have a web service that process a client call. When a client makes a call
to the web method the method needs to query some data from a client_A and
return the data to the calling client_B. How should I design the way the web
service will call client_A to retreive the data needed for client_B?

Argh! This problem is driving me nuts! Can you help?
In November of 2003, I installed a web service on Windows Server 2003 built
in VB.NET for v1.1.4322 of the framework. It contains a timer
(System.Timers.Timer) which has an interval of 24 hours. Actually, it reads

I am sure this has been asked at least once before but I could not find
anything when searching.
If I set the value of the ExitCode property to 1066 for a windows service,
the text "A service specific error occured: 0." How do I (if it is possible)
change the value of the zero to something custom (like a "look in the event
log for further information" message)?

Why do I need to set the "ServiceName" property to my service name?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
