Guidance in web service.

hi all
i am new to webservice.
i want to create a application using web service.
i am developing a online airway-ticket booking site. if i want to take the fare,available seat in a particular flight no(eg:indian airlines) on a particular date and display on screen, what should i do? plz guide me anyone.
