Hi.
Please I need your help for this:
After a database query, a table is created with a cell for each information retrieved, and for each record, two buttons, and second one have besides it an text imput field to asign this, open a mail client to send a mail to some people.
All this, is made in php.
In other words, user logs in, a window is open (after query) showing new appointments (set in other office), and each new appointment have the buttons, he decide who assign to, put name and this must open mail client to send mail to the person assigned (arbitrary) and store this name in database.
I was trying to do: in on click button event, open mail (it works, and fills mail body, no problem), open new window in php, to store assigned person's name and autoclose this new window.
My code is:
print "<input type=\"button\" Name=\"Send\" Value=\"Assign to Representative: \" ID=\"Buttona$va riable1\" Class=\"menubut tonGreyRaised\" Style=\"width:1 75;height:25\" ";
print ("onClick=\"sel f.location='mai lto:?subject=Ne w%20Appointment %20for%20you&bo dy=This%20appoi ntment%20has%20 been%20assigned %20to%20you%3A. ..(mail body).......... ......'; window.open ('store.php?use r=$sesion&field =getValor()&ID= $variable1');\" >");
print ("   ");
print ("<input type=\"text\" name=\"agentass $variable1\" size=30 maxlenght=30\"> ");
I have to pass the record identifier, the value of text field, and user ID
But I don't know how to send new value of this text field to new window.
And, if there is abetter way to do this.
Please, help me.
I am learnin to do this, and I think I'm doing good enough until now. :-(
I am locked.
Thanks a lot

I link to a web site from an Excel spreadsheet. The page i link to is
getCookie.asp which sets a cookie then returns back some html which opens a
new window, to the same site but a different page (same folder).
The cookie is not received. Can someone explain why?
I worked around this by adding a cache-control header with a value of
no-cache. This fixes the problem. Unfortunately that causes another
problem with Internet Explorer...

Here I really need a guru... ;^(
I found out today with a big disappointment that :
window.open("url", ...)
and also
navigate("url")
limit the max length of the url string to something like 2080
characters. That on Explorer only; Netscape and Mozilla work perfectly

Hi there,
I have a problem with opening new windows with JS. If the webpage did not
complete loading due to any reason a click on a link which is supposed to open a
small new other window loads instead the home page. If the page completes
loading the link is working perfect.
Here is the code:
<a href="#"
onclick="open_center('/subapp_profiles/member-information.php?id=00000028',475,500);return

Is there any way I can change the content type when I open a new window
other than opening a script in the open statement?
mywin =
window.open('','rpt','width=600,height=425,top=50,left=0,scrollbars=yes,toolbar=yes,resizable=yes,dependent=no');
mywin.document.write("Content-type:image/svg+xml");
In this example I would be changing the content type to svg.

Hi there,
The project that I'm working on is a securty piece of n-tier
applications which try to authenticate a user. The login page, either a
web form or windows form, calls a web service (thin layer) that
actually evoke a business object to authenticate user.
In the internet application after the user credentials are verified,
the user id is saved in cookies so it can be referred later by the
business class using httpcontext. I would...

I have an aspx file stored in a resource file. All of the C# code is
written inline via <script runat="server"tags. Let's call this page

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
