Hi again! I am going really desperate on this problem that I have in downloads.
Please somebody who have a better idea to solve things out, please help.
Just like I mentioned. I have a site that end users can download/upload video files.
The videos is stored in the same server as well as the php codes, though of course
in different directory. Everything goes well until I begun losing available space for new
uploaded videos. I had no choice but to moved other videos on a different server.
The big problem is how can I able to download the remote video files.
The function in the current site I am using is that I created a symlink($file_r ealpath, $file_symlink)
where $file_realpath = "/some/dir/"; then provided a a href="http://url/.$file_symlink./file"
that end user can Right-Click->'save target as...' to download the file. This is OK when
the video files is in the same server but how about the other video files in other server?
When I changed $file_realpath into "http://remote_add/some/dir/", its comes to a failure.
I already tried to used ftp_connect, ftp_chdir, before the <a href>, but it doesn't also help.
How can I able to get this remote files for download? Please anyone, any idea you have?
Many Thanks!

Got a strange scenario going on here in that I could have sworn this worked
yesterday. I am issuing binary retrieval calls to an FTP server, writing to a
file, close the file, then removing the file from the remote site. When I do
this, I end up with 0 byte files. I was hoping to avoid parsing a list of
remote and local files and matching them up that way because it would be easier
to remove on successful retrieve. I'm including some...

Is there a place I can download the last public draft for C89? What
about a draft for C95?
What I really need is a list of all standard library functions, macros,
types, etc. for a "keyword file", which is used for syntax highlighting.
I want to create one for both major C standards, with the C89/90 version
including the 1995 amendment. I already have n869 for C99.
Thanks.

My script is below. And it worked perfectly until this morning when i got up and went of to try it it didnt work anymore. The code stayed the same so im sure its not that. I think it has something to do with limits on cache or a temporary folder or some other type of limit that my host might have put on without me knowing.
The file goes through the download with out error but when it finally outputs the link and you click on it you get a 404...

Hi guys,
I'm using Classic ASP, IIS6, IE 7, FF 3
I've developed a vb script to downloand files hosted in my server (zip, doc,
pdf, jpg, xls, et. etc.) it's very straight forward and there's a lot of
information around the web, however when it comes to dowload files from a
remote server (NOT hosted in my server) there is no information :-(, the
idea is to have an Access DB that stores the full url...

Note: You may skip to the end of the article if all you want is the perl code.
Introduction
Many websites have a form or a link you can use to download a file. You click a form button or click on a link and after a moment or two a file download dialog box pops-up in your web browser and prompts you for some instructions, such as “open” or “save“. I’m going to show you how to do that using a perl script.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
