out there in need of an answer and people seem to be coming here to get

I spent an hour or so downloading code and
saw nothing that actually worked.
Don't need tables, just need drag text around,

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
