raw POST data

Is there a way to access the raw data sent to a PHP app via POST? I'm
trying to read the XML sent by a Flash program with XML.send() and its sent
via POST but not URL encoded. PHP is expecting URL encoding so it comes in
like:

$_POST['<?xml version'] = '"1.0"?>'

Perl can read it just fine like so:

read (STDIN, $rawpost, $ENV{'CONTENT_L ENGTH'});
s/\&amp;/\&/g;

But since I'm a PHP kind of guy I'm wondering if there's a way to do this in
PHP.

Try the poorly documented $GLOBALS['HTTP_RAW_POST_ DATA'] variable and the
always_populate _raw_post_data configuration directive in php.ini

I'm receiving POST data to a CGI, which I'd like to forward to another CGI using urllib2. I have two options - 1) Parse the data using cgi.FieldStorage() and then rebuild the POST request into a dictionary - including any files (? uploading files by urllib2 untested and undocumented - examples seem to be for httplib). 2) Read the whole POST data in using sys.stdin.read(), rebuild the

I am trying to work with a program that is trying make an HTTP POST of text data without any named form parameter. (I don't know - is that a normal thing to do?) I need to write a CGI program that accepts and processes that data. I'm not seeing how to get at data that's not a named form parameter. I wrote a simple CGI program to echo a string representation of the cgi.FieldStorage class that's recevied, and one to make an HTTP POST to it...

When I find is that if I send the value by the GET method, response.write("From QueryString: " & Request.QueryString("usernamefromform") & "<br><br>")

I have to log into a website and retrieve some information. The problem is that the post isn't "normal". I'm used to passing post values in the form of: Variable1=Value1&Variable2=Value2 etc. I used Live Http Headers to retrieve the POST information, I included it at the end of this message. Can anyone tell me how to make THIS kind of post? Another thing, "Content-Type: multipart/form-data;

Hi, All Ajax libraries I've read use encodeURIComponent() on the name- value pairs extracted from forms before POST ing the result to the server with and xmlhttprequest. I can understand why this encoding is required in the case of a GET request and the form data is attached as a URI query string; however, why is the encoding necessary for POST requests? Thanks,

I have a page posting a raw jpg to me via HTTP POST. All reference I've found is centered around retrieving POST data as name/value pairs which will not work in this situation. What I need to do is retrieve the raw POST data and save it as a jpg. Here is some php code that does the same thing for reference: $jfh = fopen($jpeg_file, 'w') or die("can't open file"); fwrite($jfh, $GLOBALS); fclose($jfh);

Hi, I'm not sure if this can be done as I've searched the web and this forum. I am using an online merchant provider and I must post certain variables to their webforms through a form on my website. The issue is that I need to gauge whether a user has any items in their basket to decide which page I redirect them too. I could

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
