My "FreeType Support" compilation doesn't work

Hi.

I compiled PHP by using:
--------------
'./configure' '--prefix=/usr/local/php'
'--with-apxs2=/usr/local/httpd/bin/apxs'
'--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql'
'--with-curl=/usr/local/include/curl' '--with-gd=/usr/local/gd'
'--with-zlib-dir=/usr/local/zlib' '-with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local/jpeg-6b'
'--with-ttf=/usr/include/freetype2'
'--with-freetype-dir=/usr/include/freetype2'
make
make install
(apache reload)
---------------------

I think it's the right directory for '--with-freetype-dir', because:
[]# freetype-config --cflags
-I/usr/include/freetype2

But "FreeType Support" doesn't work (it doesn't appear on my phpinfo).

What am I doing wrong? Thank you very much.

--with-freetype_dir should point to the installed location of freetype2.
Unless you set --prefix, this would be /usr/local.

Hi all I've written a python program that adds orders into our order routing simulation system. It works well, and has a syntax along these lines: ./neworder --instrument NOKIA --size 23 --price MARKET --repeats 20 etc However, I'd like to add a mode that will handle, say:

I recently tried out the Google "top coder" contest, as a C++ coder. I noticed immediately that they expected me to know STL. To which I say, what the fuck?! I may be missing something, but at what point when learning C++ was I supposed to have picked up STL? I ask because at every job I've had, and every job interview for that matter, whenever STL comes up it's not I, but a manager who says effectively yuck, we don't use that crap.

Hi! Is the expression "a >= b" equivalent to "a - b >= 0" in C/C++? Is this equivalence an IEEE/ANSI rule? Or is this machine/compiler dependent? Any references are welcome! Thanks in advance, Humberto.

It's so messy w/o the "friend" relationship. Does anyone know why it was not supported in C#. It's almost about as bad as it doesn't support the inheritance hierarchy and method reference (calling tree) browsing that is supported in C++. I don't know how some could write a large scale object-oriented application w/o those. If you have overcome these limitations in C#, please share your thoughts and ideas. Thanks!

I am trying to name my submenus (MainMenu control) and they show up in the menu dropdown...like they are O.K., but when I check my controls the names are still "MenuItemX". OTOH, the top-level menu items renamed just fine. What might I be doing wrong? TIA, Larry Woods

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
