Alot of my forms are bound.
I would like to offer a Cancel option so that they can make as many changes
as they like and still Cancel out without making any changes.
I have one idea of how to do this for new records; tag each record with a
boolean value. On clicking OK, these are all set to True and the form
closes.
If they Cancel the False records are deleted and the form closes.

Under what circumstances would e.Cancel be set to True on entry to the
Closing event of an MDI child form?
I have found that this is why my application won't close properly. I can
explicitly set the value to False, but I would have expected it to be False
on entry.
TIA

I have a form w/ a textbox and Cancel button on it. I have a routine to
handle textbox.validating, and I have the form setup so the Cancel
button is the Cancel button.
WHen the user clicks on the cancel button, the textbox.validating is
being called. I don't want it to be since they are exiting the screen
the validation doesn't have to be done.
How can I do that.

Does it make sense to put this
If e.Cancel Then Exit Sub
at the beginning of form closing events so if the user cancels the app's
exiting in one Closing routine he will not be asked again by another when
its form Closing routine is run?
I guess what I'm asking is will that work. If one form sets e.cancelled to
true will e.cancel be true when the next form receives a closing event?

Hello,
Is there a way to make a kind of "cancel" button on a form?
Suppose you accidently changed or overwrote some data in a form, then I'd
like to leave this form at once and cancel any change made in this form.
Hopefully someone has a clue for me.
thanks a lot!

Hello,
I’m hoping you can help me out with two issues I’m having with my code. I have an Access Report named Report_Project_Event_Log which I have calling a Form named “Custom_Code_lookup” which allows a user to select data for the report. I have a hidden txt object within this form named txtContinue which is either set to “no” or “yes”. I believe I have everything running correctly except for my cancel code below. When the Cancel button is...

I've been trying all morning to cancel a form submit to the server.
I have a JavaScript Object that determines whether or not the page should be submitted to the server depending on whether the user clicks "yes" or "no".
This Object is attached to various HTML elements on the page (buttons, selects etc) and traps any events that they raise that cause the page to submit.
If the user has not responded, the Object should cancel the page...

In the input box if we click ok or cancel the invoice prints. By default the credit card info is 0, and most of the cases its 0 even when we want to take a print out i.e., the value is changed.
I tried doing If Payment = "" Then Exit sub,
but it exits the sub if I press ok or cancel since the credit card value is not changed and remains to be 0.
What changes can I make so that if OK is clicked the document prints and if cancel is clicks...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
