Seasons greetings folks
I'm pretty sure that this problem has nothing to do with PHP and a whole lot
to do with my server config, but I've got no idea where to start.
On my server I can't get any of the network functions to work, eg getmxrr()
returns an empty array whereas on another server it will return a populated
array.
Sendmail functions perfectly and I can ping the remote machines, so it's not

I've spent a couple of days on this and I'm to the "bang-my-head
'gainst the monitor and babble in tongues" mode.
First - SuSE Pro 9.3, Linux 2.6.11.4-21.7, Apache 2.0.53, PHP 4.3.10
I have sendmail running on the local server - mail from unix (1) mail
and mutt work locally on the server. This is, specifically, sending
mail to a localhost user or another user off on the net somewhere
works fine.

I have a Sun Server running Solaris 10 and Sendmail 8.13.7. I have
Majordomo and Listproc installed on this server and they work. I have
several production majordomo and listproc mailing lists installed on
this server and they work.
I am trying to get Mailman to work on this server and so far, no luck.
I installed the software (Mailman 2.1.8 and Python 2.4.3), reconfigured
mm_cfg.py, started the software, added the cron entries,...

Hi all,
The PHP manual states that: "The Windows implementation of mail()
differs in many ways from the Unix implementation. First, it doesn't
use a local binary for composing messages but only operates on direct
sockets which means a MTA is needed listening on a network socket
(which can either on the localhost or a remote machine). "
Does this mean that the sendmail binary is NOT needed on windows?

Hi I am new here and once upon a time I worked with Perl, now I am trying again and need some help:
I wrote a Perl script a few years ago that opened an order entry TXT file and sent each customer with an email address a confirmation email in html or txt. Simple enough and very effective.
Now I am editing this script to send a general email blast on a new computer... I have ActivePerl 5.10.0 Build 1003 installed. I downloaded...

Hello all,
So I'm having trouble using sendmail in a CGI script as the topic title says.
Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:
User fills out a form, submits it, my CGI script receives this data, emails it to me, then displays a "thank you" html page to the user. Here's a look at the code that calls sendmail:
unless (open (MESSAGE,"| /usr/sbin/sendmail -t")){
die "Can't open sendmail: $!";

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
