I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I'm having.
I've been using Dreamweaver to create a hotel booking system for a
friend of mine, using MySQL (version 4.0.21) and PHP 5. The bit I'm
struggling with is checking the Room Availability based on dates that
are typed into a textfield and then returning a list of the available
rooms on the next page.
The three tables involved in this function are:

Is there a recommended or 'Best Practices' way of checking the version
of python before running scripts? I have scripts that use the os.walk()
feature (introduced in 2.3) and users running 2.2 who get errors.
Instead of telling them, 'Upgrade you Python Install, I'd like to use
sys.version or some other way of checking before running.
Whatever I do, I need it to work on Linux, Mac and Windows.
I thought of sys.version... but getting...

Say I have a table, ten columns, ten rows - Each with a word in it. I want
to change the values of some/all of the cells in the table via a hyperlink.
How do I reference each cell and change its text contents from a link
elsewhere in the page? I have a rought idea that I'll need something like
'id' in my <td> tags but while I have a greater understanding of server-side
programming langauges like PHP, javascript is still very new...

I can't make this script work properly. I've gone as far as I can with
it and the rest is out of my ability. I can do some html editing but
I'm lost in the Java world. The script at the bottom of the html page
controls the form fields that are required. It doesn't function like
it's supposed to and I can leave all the fields blank and it still
submits the form. Also I can't get it to transfer the file in the

Hi all,
I guess this probably a very silly question. I am not sure if this can be
done in classical asp. A button has to be clicked if a selection in drop
down list has been changed. If not, a pop up message pops and reminds the
user you need to click the button before continue. Can this be done in some
ways???

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
