I added "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\nContent-Type:text/html;
charset=iso-8859-1\r\n" as one of the parameters in the mail( )
function to replace the "Nobody" with a real From: email. That worked.
But if I attempt to add any other terms, such as the sender's name and
location, the MIME parameter above seems to ignore the "\n" line feeds
and put the these other terms ahead of the mail message.
Here's my code:
mail("$toaddres s", "$subject", "$mailconte nt", "MIME-Version:
1.0\r\nContent-Type:text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\nFrom: ".
$youremail
. "\r\n" . $yourname . "\r\n");
The value for $yourname appears ahead of the message [$mailcontent] on
the same line. What I would like it to do is display the message, go
to a new line, then display $yourname.
Thanks in advance. 0 1525 This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Imagine I have a small, static, personal site (I do, actually:
http://kirpi.it/).
And imagine that, just below the title of the page, I would like to
have a comment, or a news line, or a birthday reminder, a citation, or
whatever you like.
At the moment you will find a line that reminds about my small child's
second birthday, just as an example.
My choice is:
a) set it manually every day as I wake up, before breakfast, or
b) have it set...

Dear scripters,
I am working on a HTML form in which a date must be entered of the form
'dd-mm-yyyy'. Now I'm looking for a script that, when the user switches to
another form field, changes e.g. 'ddmmyyyy' or 'dd-m-yy' to 'dd-mm-yyyy'.
I have searched the net using google, but only found validators that show
an error if an incorrect format is used. (and I can't write one on my own)
Does someone has such a script for me?

I would like to create a table in HTML that represents a letter on a
standard size sheet of paper. But of course, smaller so the width fits on
the screen.
How do I code an HTML table to represent an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper? What
would the screen measurements be in pixels?

I'm using this at present:
<p title="Publication date" ></p>
Works fine on screen, but Fangs/Jaws just reads it as "left bracket
twenty-eight slash zero slash two thousand five fifteen colon zero right
bracket" Really it needs something more to indicate that it _is_ a
date.
The brackets would be better done with CSS, :before and content: ,
but the boss wants it to work under IE too. The site is firmly UK

i've been having this confusion for about a year, i want to know the
exact difference between text and binary files.
using the fwrite function in c, i wrote 2 bytes of integers in binary
mode.
according to me, notepad opens files and each byte of the file
read, it converts that byte from ascii to its correct character and

Hi all,
My kids have a bunch of games that have to be run from CD (on Windows
XP). Now they're not very careful with them, and so I have a plan.
I've downloaded a utility (Daemon Tools) which allows me to mount and
unmount virtual CD drives onto an ISO image. This works well, but I
want to wrap this in a Python GUI which will present them with a list
of games in a particular directory.
Essentially the steps are this:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
