Importing text file - maximum filesize

Hi,

I installed phpmyadmin to test my site on my homecomputer. The table i want
to "upload" in my mysql table is about 5 Mb but in phpMyadmin the maximum
size is 2048 kb.

Where can I change the maximum size of text files in PhpMyAdmin ? Somewhere
in "config.inc.php " ?

Thank you very much
Jean

If you installed PHPMyAdmin only to put in the data, your MySQL database
came with command-line tools that also do the job. mysql is the client, in
MySQL's bin directory.
mysql --user=username --password=somepa ssword [database]
and at the prompt just type
source filename

and it will execute your SQL script.
help will give you commands (such as exit)

to backup your database, use mysqldump. for command-line options on
mysqldump, do mysqldump -?
should be similar to that of mysql client.

i'm curious to know how others handle the closing of files. i seem to always end up with this pattern even though i rarely see others do it. f1 = file('file1') try: # process f1 finally: f1.close() which explicitly closes f1

How can I determine a image file size before uploading it? I would like to make sure the size is under a maximum before taking the time to upload it. If I have to upload the file before determining the size, it could take a few minutes (Mbs) on a slow connection before I can determine if the size is too large. Thanks!

I have never done this and wanted to ask people who have what is the best way. One person said import it to excel, then import it into access table. but since this will be done a lot, I am trying to avoid this extra step. can access read in this file directly into a table as append data? thank you very much for any pointers

I have a text file that stores a number of records that I need to access in a vb.net application. Each of the fields that make up a record are of a fixed number of bytes. So for instance there is an address field of 240 bytes and there is an id field of 12 bytes. Where the data stored in a field does not fill the available number of bytes then spaces " " are inserted to fill the remaining bytes. There are no delimiters, just fields of a...

I've just recently read several articles that state that the only way to write "sparse zeros" to an NTFS5 sparse file is to use Win32 DeviceIoControl with FSCTL_SET_ZERO_DATA in order to specify what ranges in the file are sparse zeros. However, it appears that the following steps also work when creating a new sparse file. First, using Win32 (via .NET 1.1 pinvoke), I ... CreateFile (returns a handle)

Hello everbody, Our system is using Sql Server 2000 on Windows XP / Windows 2000 We have a text file needs to be imported into Sql Server 2000 as a table. The records , in the text file, have a size bigger then 8060. So we wont be able to...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
