New release of open source blog / diary / journal script

Hi all,

Just announcing the latest version of my blog / diary / journal script.

You can get it (and read all about it) at;
http://www.pluggedout.com/index.php?pk=dev_blog

It's edging closer to "version 2" all the time - I need to bash any
bugs that are still in it, finish documenting the code properly, and
give proper credit to those who's code I have used for things like the
rich text editor (the TinyMCE project), and the RSS parsing (Kai
Blankenhorn, Scott Reynen and Kai Blankenhorn).

Here's a quick rundown of the functionality in the latest build;

* Multi-User with Roles
* Rich Text Editing
* Themes
* Templates
* Monthly calendar with hilighted days and navigation controls
* List of recent entries
* Visitor comments against entries
* Email notification of comments
* Supports RSS 2
* Full administration interface
o Add, edit, remove and publish/unpublish blog entries
o Author entries with a rich text editor inside your browser!
o Change themes
o Upload files for use in entries
o Change settings
* Superb support through the PluggedOut forums
* A well written, stable script by a professional software
developer

Version 1.5 has lots of things the original didn't do, and quite a few changes... - Completely re-written back end code (seperation of logic and presentation layers to make future extension easier)

Hi all, This is just a quick message to let those interested know that I've released an alpha of version 1.6 of my Blog script. "Blog" is the rather unimaginative title of the script I developed for my own online journal, and gave away for the use of others. The relevant URLs are as follows...

Hi, Our DBA group is debating production release methodology. We always perfect our deployment package (typically a script) against the database in a Staging environment, before executing the package against Production. One side argues that the safest approach is to create a script containing all schema changes, data changes, stored procs, functions, etc. Run that script against Staging until it is error-free. Then, when you run it...

I guess I just don't get it. Is that all it is. THEY Won"T STOP SAYING IT ON TV...BLOG BLOG BLOGGER BLOGGING BLOG BLOG BLOG!!!!! AHHHHH!!!H!H!

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
