Yes, if the MTA on the SMTP server is configured to keep a log file and
that log file is accessible to PHP...

I have a MySql database I connect through using mysql-connector-...jar under java. I need to co-exist with another MySql database in order to get this one job wherein the fields of the other database can map to fields in my database. For example, they have a customers table as does mine. There may be some differences in the fields and such, but, in broad strokes, the tables are redundant. I cannot, however, rewrite this application to...

We are getting ready to move an ASP.NET application off of a single development machine and onto a "webfarm". Basically our webfarm is a bunch of identical servers with the load-balancing provided by a network appliance. What I'm wondering is what is the best way to keep the ASP.NET (.aspx and .dll) files synchronized across all of the servers in the farm. Our ASP.NET application is very simple - we could just copy the content to all of...

Hi all, I have been asked to build a server that allows people to upload/download files to that server via FTP, but they want an web interface to manage the files and users. I know how to do most of this, but I am not sure how to synchronize the PHP and FTP users. The OS will be linux. I get to choose the FTP server. For example, a user should be able to login, create a new user, then FTP a

I have a perl script that creates an email attachment file from POST data on a web page. This works just fine. I want to customize the email body to contain all of the text data from the file itself. I thought this would be just a matter of using the $smtp->datasend($POSTvalues) with the $values coming from the names on the web page posting the data. Can someone show me what the correct code snippet would be? Here is my code: ...

I'm curious about the limits of my current method of sending out e- mail w/ php and possibly alternatives. Right now, I have a mysql DB of registered users. I have a PHP file accessed daily that runs through the DB and sends e-mails (SMTP mailer) w/ personalized messages (also from the DB) to the users. Right now I've only got a few e-mails it needs to send per day so it only takes a second or two for the file to load/run, but this may...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
