IIS+PHP: The directory name is invalid.

Hello everybody,

I have recently migrated from win98+PWS to winXP+IIS, and after that an
problem has occured. When I open some of my PHP pages, I get this
instead of the page I shlud get:

<html><head><ti tle>Error</title></head><body>The directory name is
invalid. </body></html>

Now, the interesting part is the fact that this doesn't happen every
time I try to open a specific page (it happens in 80% of cases, but
sometimes it (the page) just opens like nothing's wrong) and that it
happens on all of my PHP pages! I presume I have misconfigured IIS...
but I don't know where to start searching for a problem... does IIS have
logging? Does PHP have logging?

Or, has anybody encountered similar problem?

I use:
IIS 5.1
PHP Version 4.3.0
IE 6.0

Hello, I've installed PHP4.3.4 as ISAPI modul of IIS on WIN2003 Server. I use different php scripts for building my HTML-output. In some php scripts I have to access local files for logging purposes. Now my question: What rights does a php script have on the server. If a user requests a php-script - which user account does this "request-thread" have? I know from the Apache WebServer on Linux that I can specify the user or group of a...

Good morning, I have a web site in which 7 pages repeat once and again in thousands of folders. Why? because I want to keep, to the user view, the pretty url www.myweb.com/username/pageX.asp. As you can imagine, this makes maintenance hard, because when I make some update, I have to run a program to spread the change to the xthousands directories.

I believe I am having the same problem described here :http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread429124.html basically, the phpinfo() method returns values that are not matching my php.ini file. Hi all, I'm trying to set up my first Vista/IIS7 box with PHP5 -- in IIS7 I mapped the current php5isapi.dll. I've noticed that if I simply open a PHP page (it works), when the IIS application pool later recycles (either timed or forced), I get an "IIS Worker Process has stopped working" alert, and a "Faulting application w3wp.exe" event in the Event Viewer.

I have recently installed IIS and ActivePython 2.5.2.2 on my 32bit WinXP pro +SP2 PC. It works with a Python script inside an .asp file, but does not work with a .py file. I have followed the Microsoft Knowledge-Base article No. 276494 "Using Python Scripts with IIS" at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/276494. This article has 3 points to follow (with some difficulty, due to differences in implementations of Windows). I have sucessfully...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
