File-Field/Browse-Window doesn't appear

Good Morning, everybody!

I've encountered big problems with one of my file-fields, which was
implemented for uploading files. Some of my users don't have any problems at
all - the "browse"-window appears. But with some PCs, it doesn't work at
all. A js-error appears and the "browse"-window doesn't appear. Has anybody
a clue on how to fix that bug?

Thx in advance!

A JavaScript error? On some clients?

Well, PHP is not JavaScript and it's running on the server. Why do you
ask here?

I wrote a file download module for my website. The reason for the file download module is that my website downloads work on a credit based system. So I need to keep track of and limit daily downloads. It uses fpassthru() and some headers() to send a file to the requesting user. The get.php file that I wrote (the file download module if you will) works like a charm for .ZIP files and .TXT files. However, when .EXE files are downloaded...

I'm writing a small app to help me learn more about cryptography. All it does is encrypt all of the files in directory A, and put the encrypted versions of the files in directory B. It then decrypts the files in directory B, and puts them in directory C. I'm getting some exceptions when I try to decrypt a binary file though. Here's the code: ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// public class...

Greetings, I'm wondering why the >> operator does not use the write() method of a class derived from the built-in file class as in DerivedFile below. In the following example: - StringFile is just a file-like string accumulation class that can be used in place of a real file to accumulate strings that would otherwise be printed. Works fine, can accumulate strings with the >> operator,

I'm dealing with a log management program: I must save some records to a file... and occasionally read previously written records. because it's a log file, all the writes will be at the end of the file. for studying this problem I made the following example program. It works in a very strange way: every time it open the file it copies the last char. i.e. if the first time the file contains "home" second time I execute the prog it will...

I am experiencing problems when one user has a document open through a share pointing to the web site. I use the dsolefile to read the contents of a particular directory and then display them in a datalist. When the next user selects trys to run the page, the page fails and I get a generic error message from the stack trace. I am assuming that the document properties cannot be read when a file is open, but it worked well in asp. ...

I've got a XML file I read using a file_get_contents and turn into a simpleXML node every time index.php loads. I suspect this is causing a noticeable lag in my page-execution time. (Or the wireless where I'm working could just be ungodly slow-- which it is.) Is reading a file much more resource/processor intensive than, say, including a .php file? What about the act of creating a simpleXML object? What about the act of checking the...

Note: You may skip to the end of the article if all you want is the perl code. Introduction Many websites have a form or a link you can use to download a file. You click a form button or click on a link and after a moment or two a file download dialog box pops-up in your web browser and prompts you for some instructions, such as “open” or “save“. I’m going to show you how to do that using a perl script. What You Need Any recent...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
