Qcodo Development Framework, Beta 1 Released

I wanted to let people know about Qcodo, a development framework that
was presented both at the Zend/PHP Conference a couple of weeks ago as
well as the MySQL User's Conference back in April of this year. It has
just been released as an open source product, and has gotten quite a
lot of positive feedback.

Feel free to check it out at http://www.qcodo.com/ -- there are also a
couple of videos of the demonstration that was given at the conference.

Hi, I want to have a live and test development environment on the same computer. For example, I want to run a Whidbey suite (Whidbey, 3rd party alpha-level controls, etc.) and production VS 2003 and have them not interfere with each other One option is to partition the disk and install two separate copies of XP, Office, etc, and then the development environments. I would have to reboot systems to change. Are there other options? ...

I have the Service Pack installed, but this program is just plain buggy. I don't even WANT it, but I couldn't get my ATI drivers to install unless I had it on the system. I don't mind if the files just sit there; I just don't want them RUNNING. Not once have I been able to shut down my computer without having to suffer a 2 minute wait while "NET FRAMEWORK is not responding." I have Windows 2000 Professional and am about to commence...

Hello, I was just testing VB.Net on Framework.Net 2.0 performance when I run into the this problem. This trivial code attached below executed hundreds, if not thousand times faster in VB 6.0 than in .Net environment, under VS 2005 Beta 2. Does anyone have any idea whether this will be addressed in the final release? Thanks, Tomasz

Hi, With DotNet having been around for a while, are there any good resources that detail what the uptake of the framework has been for Windows Application development? For example is DotNet anywhere near replacing Win32 development? Or is Win32 development still leading the way? The other question is, how many desktop machines actually have the framework installed?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
