Yii framework 1.0 beta is released

We are proud to announce that Yii 1.0 beta release is available!

Yii is a high-performance and feature-rich PHP framework for
developing
large-scale Web applications. Yii is written in strict OOP and comes
with thorough class reference and comprehensive tutorials. From MVC,
DAO/ActiveRecord, widgets, caching, hierarchical RBAC, Web services,
to theming, I18N and L10N, Yii provides nearly every feature needed
by today's Web 2.0 application development. And all these come without
incurring much overhead. As a matter of fact, Yii is one of the most
efficient PHP frameworks around.

As the slogan says, Yii is easy, efficient and extensible. We hope
your really feel this way and enjoy using it. We are eager to hear
your feedback on Yii.

I want to use ILMerge in my project, but it requires a framework version that I cannot find the download for (2.0.7.... something). The latest I can see is 2.0.5. Does anybody know where I can find this framework or a version of ILMerge that works with an earlier framework. Thanks.

Is anyone out there using a C#.NET OR mapping framework in a production environment? I'm thinking of such frameworks as nHibernate, Gentle, etc.. I've looked at quite a few but none of them seem mature enough for serious use. Looking for suggestions. Thanks.

Hello I am tempted to deploy my applications compiled on framework2.0 Does anyone have an argument why I shouldn't? I ask because I have SDK's for v1.0, v1.1 and v2.0 and just recently I begun compiling apps in v1.1 (for customer deployement). Now, I have noticed some problems with printing on MS Server 2003 (when remote users connect to server and run app from it) and problems with display of some drawn items on WinXP sp2, both of which...

I have the Service Pack installed, but this program is just plain buggy. I don't even WANT it, but I couldn't get my ATI drivers to install unless I had it on the system. I don't mind if the files just sit there; I just don't want them RUNNING. Not once have I been able to shut down my computer without having to suffer a 2 minute wait while "NET FRAMEWORK is not responding." I have Windows 2000 Professional and am about to commence...

Hello, I was just testing VB.Net on Framework.Net 2.0 performance when I run into the this problem. This trivial code attached below executed hundreds, if not thousand times faster in VB 6.0 than in .Net environment, under VS 2005 Beta 2. Does anyone have any idea whether this will be addressed in the final release? Thanks, Tomasz

After 4 weeks of work, involving alot of bug fixes, and documentation improvements, to the source tree, we have just released our 4th Beta of 8.0.0. Most of the items on Bruce's Open Items list have been completed, but we still have a half dozen or so Windows related items still open. For a complete list of changes/improvement since Beta 1 was released, please see: ftp://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/source/v8.0.0beta/ChangeLog-Beta3-to-Beta4

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
