Hello,
I'm a little confused about where I should include header files and was
wondering whether there was some convention. Imagine I've written a
class foo and put the definition in foo.h and the implementation of its
member functions in foo.cpp (which obviously #inludes foo.h) and further
assume that it depends on a class bar which is defined in bar.h.
It seems that there are the following two scenarios:

Hello,
I've been just investigating IE conditional comments - hiding things from
non-IE/Win browsers is easy, but I wanted to know, if it's possible to hide
code from IE/Win browsers.
I found <!> in the original MSDN documentation, but this is (although
it is working) unfortunately non-validating gibberish.
So I fooled around trying to find a way to make it valid. And voila:

I have an A2000 database in which I have a continuous form with a tick
box. There is also a text box with a conditional format that is based on
the expression , if it's true then change the background
colour.
In A2000 it works great, but in A2003 the background doesn't always
change and when it does it only changes when the record looses the
focus.
Any way around this? Is it a bug? Or have they "improved" it?

I am trying to highlight the output of a field to display something
similar to conditional formating. Would prefer to display the result
with a code instead of a colored font or colored background for the
sake of using a black and white printer.
i.e. if >= 20 then H for highly skilled or >= 15 then S for Skilled
Even though the colors work there is only three options to select from
under Conditional Formatiting (unless there's a way...

Does anyone know a way you can use conditional formatting to create a banded
style view as is commonly seen on the internet. (In othe words the first
record appears on a gray background, the 2nd on white, the third on gray etc
etc.) I could write an expression based on the odd/even status of the
primary key but this wont work when sorting and filtering is applied.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

I am currently cleaning up an application which was origainlly hashed
together with speed of coding in mind and therefore contains quite a few
"hacky" shortcuts.
As part of this "revamping" process I am introducing namespaces to
properly compartmentalise sections of the code into logical units. What
I am speciffically trying to get right is the dependency tree for header
files to reduce compile time and simplify the code structure.

I was just thinking that I understood the conditional operator when I coded
the following expecting it to fail:
int a= 10, b= 20, c= 0;
((a < b) ? a : b) = c; // a=0
a=20; b= 10;
((a < b) ? a : b) = c; //b=0
Now since the expresion 5 = c is not valid I did not expect the above to
work. But it does work. Why? I thought that the ?: operator would evaluate

I've a set of Javascript classes that maintain state. For example,
gm.js might be:
var GroupManager { groups: {} };
Over time I add new groups to the list:
GroupManager.groups = myGroup;
If I include another Javascript file that also includes a reference to

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
