Hi!
I have managed to live without using too much regular expressions so
far, and now that I need one, I need some help too.
I have a string containing a (possibly large) block of html. I need to
insert code (an image to be precise) right after the last textual
character in the string. This is, of course, no problem if the end
contains plain text and no html. If the string ends in HTML however, I
need to fiddle around. for example...

Hi,
I cannot seem to wrap my brain around preg_replace. Though I've read
the help file backwords and forwards. :/ Hoping someone can give me
a solution here.
Problem: Given string 'str' which may contain new lines and will
contain html code, IN this string any "words" that begin with an
underscore I want to replace with a given word. A word here being a
group of chars preceded by a space or null (start of line) and closed
by a...

I need to replace all possible html tags in user input but don't want to
replace bold and italic start and end tags, so I made folowing line, but
it replaces only "one-letter-tags" like paragraf or underline tag, it
doesn't replace body, div, span tags...
Can anyone help me with this?
$txt = preg_replace('/<\/?>/i', ' ', $txt);
and problem more: I would like to keep <br> tag and would like to change
<p> to <br> (and discard </p>)......

Hey all!
I am having a bit of trouble getting this to work.
You all are probably familiar with the code that strips HTML tags:
$PageText = preg_replace("/<.+?>/","",$WebPage);
What I need to do is the exact oposite, I want to strip the page text
and keep the HTML tags.

For the last couple of months I have been trying to get the next round
of updates to the FAQ underway and been being thwarted by a heavy
workload (the project I am working on has to be finished an QA tested
for a new year release. I don't think that going to prove practical, but
there is no harm in trying :) and some serious family commitments. But
it has to be done soon so this is stage one.
Mike Winter provided an extensive list of...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
