All,
I am writing a small application that allows users to create a new
HTML file automatically, by entering just a few elements (page title,
body text, etc). I can create the new page and everything, I just
can't figure out how to save the new page on the server.
I don't want the user to have to click File -> Save As on their
browser and then save it. Is there any way to automatically save the
newly created page on the server...and...

I have a web page which allows a user to download a file directly to
their computer, using IE. I present a file name in a table and the user
can then right click on the file name to get a popup menu with the
option 'Save Target As...'. Selecting that option results in the Save
As dialog.
However, if the filename has a reconginsed extension, e.g. .doc, then
the Save As dialog adds another extension, so the file name in the Save

Hello,
I have a requirement wherein, a user clicks on a file name in an
ASP.NET web application, and the file should automatically be
downloaded (Without showing the "Open", "Save As") in the local machine
at a pre defined path (path defined in the registry), and launch the
file in its associated application.
I think this can be done through ActiveX Controls, but i dont know how
to create ActiveX controls in .NET??

I would like to save a file locally (on the client computer) in an ASP.net

It is like the server would return some data that the user can save to a
file on his local PC.
The ASP page has a text field to type in the file path directly and a

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
