I've noticed that none of the child controls events are firing for the first time from the dynamic user control. Here is the event cycle.
1) MainPage_load
2) User control1_Load
user clicks a dropdown in UC1

Hi all,
I thought I understood the page lifecycle. but I guess not. I have a
couple of pages with similar GridViews and each is connected to a
ObjectDataSource. Both pages have an identical set of drop-down lists
which define the selection criteria for the grid, and the
SelectParameters of the ODS are bound to these controls.
The set of "selection" drop-down lists seemed like an ideal candidate
to convert into a UserControl. I gave...

Hi,
As I do not have IE7 on my computer, I was wondering if there is a
fault in my CSS Menu when using IE7.
Please can someone look at my site - http://www.worldofmonopoly.co.uk
and tell me if it works, and if it does not, tell me why it does not
work.
Thanks.

Here is what I have done:
Created a page with a drop down menu listing names of builders retrieved from a mysql database containing contact info for client builders.
What I need to do, and so far have been stumped, is this:
When a builder name is selected from the drop down, I need to have the selected builders record, (name, address, etc) listed in a table on another page.
The new page would be called viewbuilder.php
Will someone PLEASE...

good evening,
I am trying to allow my users to enter in text if they don't find their option on my drop down menu. In the code below, I can get a text box to show up when I select 'Other' on the drop down menu. However, I cannot get it to work when I try to select 'Other' on the second drop down menu. Any ideas about how I can start getting the second drop down menu to show a text box just like the first one does?
Also, how do I get the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
