You have posted your question under Perl Articles instead of the Perl Forum.
I have moved it across for you.

Please be sure, in the future, to post all questions into the Forum area instead of the Articles area.

Hi,

Thanks alot .I am able to invoke setup.exe of build on AIX machine .But one more problem is there ,it is identifying options .
For Ex: There are some languages i need to install the product on.Suppose if i select english then the installation will be done in English.

Here i am not able to select a language.I dont know exactly which package to use in perl? Also i need to drive the installation activity.

As the title says, I'm looking to assess the advantages and disadvantages of Perl vs. PHP for web (cgi) programming. I'm a newbie at Perl, and a true novice at PHP but I have lots of other programming in languages and scripting (eg. ASP) experience. I know that Perl has the historical advantage in volume and resources. However, PHP seems to be a strong "up and comer" and is widely available on web servers. I think Perl has far greater...

I am using the php4-cgi Debian package which is based on PHP 4.3.4. I have problems when running php4 on the command line. If I say something like $ php4 index.cgi a number of variables are not initialized. For example, $HTTP_GET_VARS is not set. To get it set, here's my workaround:

Hi all This is a bit off topic but I don't know where else to ask (please tell me if you know). I'm going to build a web application. The choice of the underlying database wasn't difficult. After a few preliminary tests I'm confident that PostgreSQL is absolutely up to the task. But I'm at a loss regarding the "middleware". I know Apache quite well, so I wouldn't mind continuing using it. But what language/application server/whatever do...

January, 2006. I do not intend to start any kind of flame war, but only to seek advice about different technologies concerning which I am mostly ignorant. These include both information gathering applications and dynamic updates from our big database...

I can't make this script work properly. I've gone as far as I can with it and the rest is out of my ability. I can do some html editing but I'm lost in the Java world. The script at the bottom of the html page controls the form fields that are required. It doesn't function like it's supposed to and I can leave all the fields blank and it still submits the form. Also I can't get it to transfer the file in the upload section. The file name...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
