You already asked this question. It was not understandable then, and it's not understandable now. You never replied to the other thread even though I posted in it saying I did not understand the question. I assume nobody else understood it either since nobody replied to the question. Try and explain better what it is you are trying to do and maybe someone will have a suggestion for you. What is "perforce"?

Hi, I recently read an advice here that one should try to use make and version control system even if you're the only one working on the program. Is that a good advice? How many of you do that? Thanks, -AK

Is there a way to set the application binding policy so that it always binds to the latest version of an assembly? I'm hoping there is a way to avoid updating the application's binding configuration every time there is an update to a shared assembly.

How do you guys/gals keep track of changes in your software? How do you revert to an older version if the new one gets out of control? What I do is every version that works I create a new folder named VerName++ and save there so I can revert back to it if needed. There has to be a better way to do this. Please advise.

This works, but it doesn't load the latest version of the xml if it was just modified without closing and reopening the browser. Here's the scenario: I have an xml doc called results.xml. It can contain lots of data. <Results> <Data>Stuff</Data> <Data>More stuff</Data>

I'm a newbie experimenting with Python. I want to incrementally develop a module called 'circle'. The problem is now that the file name is used for two purposes. To keep track of the version number and as the name for the module. So when I develop the first version of my file I have to call it circle_a.py. The name of the module then automatically becomes circle_a. But when I develop the next increment and call my file circle_b.py the...

Hi all, Here's the link to the issue we were seeing on our ASP.NET system when modifying, adding and deleting directories in framework 2.0. http://blogs.msdn.com/toddca/archive/2005/12/01/499144.aspx I then tried a few of solution I found while perusing Google, - FCNMode registry mod - Relocating to App_Data folder to create/modify/delete directories.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
