I've probably not given the best title to this topic, but that
reflects my relative "newbie" status.
I have a table that goes essentially

Im running a querystring in vb.net and it seems as though SQL server decides
on the order in which to run the 3 queries in the string.. Is this possible?
I would think that SQL server starts with the 1st query, executes it, then
goes to the next.
For example:
************************************************************
Dim myQueryString as string = _
"INSERT INTO ArchivedClients(ClientNo,ClientName) " & _
"SELECT ClientNo,ClientName...

Hi,
If during a transaction a number of deferred triggers are fired, what will be
their execution order upon the commit?
Will they be executed in order of firing or alfabetically or something
entirely different? The docs only mention regular triggers being executed
alfabetically.

I'm evidently not understanding nested triggers and I'm looking for
some help.
I've an Invoice table (see below) that I want to enforce two actions
via after triggers.
The first trigger maintains a set of audit columns in the table
indicating the date on which the row was inserted, the date of the
last change, and the user who made the last change (see below)

I have two Classes in use in an ASP application...
The first Class is named "ORDER". It represents one job order. It has a
Delete method, among others, which deletes it from my database.
The second Class is named "ORDERS". It represents a collection of ORDER
objects. Basically an array of ORDER objects. It has a Remove method that
JUST removes the ORDER object from the collection - no data is erased.

Hello everyone,
I have an application where multiple threads get passed to a processing method from a port. This method creates a CSingleLock on a CMutex object to ensure that only one thread executes at a time. Is there a way to ensure that the threads execute in the same order that they call the method?
IE - if there are 5 threads waiting on the same CMutex is there a way to ensure that the next thread that obtains the CMutex will be the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
