I have a standard .NET Datagrid (Databound to a SQL Dataset), and I need to
select all rows of the datagrid when a button is clicked, to allow a user to
copy the data, and then paste it into Excel or another application. They
need to be able to do this because the application is running on a Terminal
Server in Application Server Mode, and they need to copy the data to an

Dear MS SQL Experts,
I have to get the number of datasets within several tables in my MSSQL
2000 SP4 database.
Beyond these tables is one table with about 13 million entries.
If I perform a "select count(*) from table" it takes about 1-2 min to
perform that task.
Since I know other databases like MySQL which take less than 1 sec for

I was hoping someone has come across this and came up with a solution.
We have upgraded our custom software to us Infragistics UltraWinGrid
2006 CLR 2.0. The code below worked with a previous release of the
UltraWinGrid.
When the user clicks on the 'Select All' button this code is selecting
all rows in the grid. The grid has band(0) and band(1) (Parent and
multiple children)

I am doing some mass update on DB2 8.2 FP10 (say 400 to 500 rows on a
5000 row table) with just one commit. So this is taking lot of
exclusive row locks as expected. When I run a select on the same
table with a where clause its taking a IS table lock. This is causing
the select to go on lock waiting.
The application cannot do UR isolation level. Why is it taking IS
table lock ? There is an index on the where clause. How can i...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
