I am planning to install oracle collabration suite for testing purposes .
Can somebody tell me whats the minimium hardwrae requirement.
Is somebody already running OCS for file and email.
If so how many users and whats the hardware and configuration like
have you installed mail server and file server on different databases
and on different servers.

Hi all,
I'm trying to decide between two books for Oracle Financials security
- there seem to be two obvious possibilities. The books are "Oracle
E-Business Suite Financials Administrations" by Iyer, S., and "Oracle
E-Business Suite Financials Handbook 2nd Edition" by James, D.
Does anyone know if either is more useful from a security point of
view?

When I attempt to run a form created with Oracle9i Forms Builder I receive a
dialog box asking for the following info:
User Name:
Password:
Database:
I obviously know my User Name and Password, and I assume that the value I
use for Database is the value found in the tnsnames.ora file (in my case,
ORCL). However, when I do this I receive the following error:

Hi!
I'm using DB2 database on one server and ORACLE database on the second one.
I want to move some data from ORACLE database to DB2 database and update
some columns on ORACLE database so I know what rows were transfered. I'd
like to do this in a distributed XA transaction and Java. :)
How is this possible ?

I installed Oracle developer suite 10g version 1.0 and I have Oracle 10.2 version Database. My developer suite is not working it is not able to connect to database.
My question is, Is there any way to connect to Oracle 10.2 DB from Oracle Dev suite 10.1.?

It seems like I don't have much luck with Oracle!
I've installed Oracle database 9i on my fedora box,
I've also successfully installed the most difficult Oracle AS 10.1.3.1 (or something)
on the same linux host.
Now I'm struggling to install Oracle Developer Suite, but I always

I installed Oracle 9i (Developer Suite and D'base) ver 9.02 on my
windows 2K O/S. The installation went fine without a hitch. However when
I upgarded my OS to WinXP I now get an "Oracle Intelligent Agent
Executable" error every time I boot up with the ability to send the
message to M'soft. The error seems to effect the the agntsrvc.exe file
which is linked to the operation of the OracleDevtoolsAgent (brought up
