Company thought DB2 will be better than Oracle.
The bottom line is when you do select, the system crash.
I think it may take 4-5 years for DB2 to reach Oracle standard.

We're planning a move from a non-relational system to
a relational system. Our choices have been narrowed to
Oracle and DB2. Since we're moving from non-relational
to relational, then we're not currently using any
relational-type operators. So I expect the end result to
use simple, SQL standard commands and queries.

We have a visualization front-end tool connected to an Oracle back-end
database on a Tru64 UNIX server. We also have clients with MS access
databases who would like to share their data using this visualization

I am running an oracle database with the application written in PHP.
I would like to be able to have the option to encrypt data residing in
certain columns in certain tables i.e. encrypt the SSNO column but not
the Fname column. I would like to keep it in its encrypted form in the

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
