I'm fairly new to configuring server.xml and web.xml files in tomcat 4.
I am trying to require password authentication for access to a
subdirectory called "update" located within ROOT. I want all files

I have a problem with using myCommand.ExecuteScalar(). My question is :
If the Web setup is incorrect, does it make command ExecuteScalar() work
improperly ?? In my program, I was using ExecuteScalar() to count the

I've just started checking this out. I've got it to work alright with
one exception. It is a secured MDE, so I've setup all the INI file
options for it. The problem is that the UserID I setup for it to use to
do the version test, seems to need more than the claimed 'minimum
rights'. I haven't figured out what specifically it needs rights to, but
it is somewhere between our base level (does not have access to
sensitive data) and our Manager...
