Is is possible to recover deleted rows from a table from archive logs?
For example, say you have a database with archive logging turned off.
You create a table and populate it with records. You then reset the logs
and place the database in archivelog mode.
Then you
delete from table;
commit;
Is the necessary information in the archive logs such that you can
reconstruct the deleted rows from the table?

I accidentally posted this question here instead of into
comp.databases. oracle.server.
I have now moved the question into the above newsgroup as it is a little
more livelier. I'm still trying to find out what the answer is as there
seems to be a bit of discussion about it.

I have a DataTable with many rows. The user can delete a row. After the row
is deleted, I'd like to column values for the deleted row, but any attempt to
access column values results in the following exception:
{"Deleted row information cannot be accessed through the row."}

we have an application which uses online backups, so archive logging
is a requirement. We have a small/moderate size database (a few
hundred megabytes isn't much by today's standards) with relatively low
insert/update activity (a few thousand per day).
How should I set up archive logging (number of primary and secondary
logs files, size of each log file)?
