Hello,
is there a way (Win 2003, DB2 UDB 8.1 Fixpack9), that the logs are
archived regularly? Our server writes logs (-> archive logs) only 1-3
times per day. I would like to have them more frequently, because I
move them (with OS tools) to another server for the case of desaster(
server destroyed completly).
Is the only way to schedule a job with the 'archive log'-command?
How do other DBAs handle this requirement of recoverability?...

Is is possible to recover deleted rows from a table from archive logs?
For example, say you have a database with archive logging turned off.
You create a table and populate it with records. You then reset the logs
and place the database in archivelog mode.
Then you
delete from table;

Hello
I have Oracle 10.2.0.1 on Solaris 10g.
I want to make level0 incremental backup every night and level1 incremental backup during the day.
Each level0 backup will be copied over network to machine with tape and will be moved to the tape.
Because there is need to be able to restore database to any point in time I have to retain all archive logs
from the start (database will be used for about 1 month). At the beginnig I will take...

Hi,
we have an application which uses online backups, so archive logging
is a requirement. We have a small/moderate size database (a few
hundred megabytes isn't much by today's standards) with relatively low
insert/update activity (a few thousand per day).
How should I set up archive logging (number of primary and secondary
logs files, size of each log file)?

Can anyone tell how to capture both sides of the chat logs? I can capture the logs from my end using key strokes and capturing the title of the current active window the user is typing in. but any clue on how to capture incoming IM messages. I have read that reading a particular port will solve the problem. But some clients like yahoo messenger use dynamic multiple ports. I also want to know if once the chat is established will the chat continue...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
